If you keep your food in a refrigerator
And your clothes in a closet
If you have a roof over your head
And have a bed to sleep in
You are richer than 75% of the entire world population.
If you have a bank account
You’re one of the 30 wealthiest people in the world.
18 struggle to live on US$ 1.00 per day or less…
53 struggle to live on US$ 2.00 per day or less.
Appreciate what you have
And do your best for a better world.
Just an additional note: Food prices are rising quickly, can you begin to imagine how people living on less than a dollar a day will survive! Hunger is the most extreme form of poverty.
If you can contribute, please do, every little will help.
These are some of the charities that you can give to (there are many more):
-Islamic Relief.
-World Food Program.
-The Hunger Site (link also on my sidebar). A click a day will contribute 1.1 cups of food to the hungry for free.
-Free Rice. Donate rice by answering questions.
-Muslim Hands.
-Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP).
I will to try to discuss the issue of food and hunger in future posts.

This is a very interesting video. I just sent it so several of my net friends. Which of the figures did you find to be the most surprising?
Thank you.
The figures I found so surprising were the ones that reflect the disparity of humanity. How so many are allowed and made to suffer despite so much to go round.
