Road Safety: Mobile Phones هواتف النقال

Hi, I just finished working on a new poster about road safety, click above to see the full size. Hope you like it. Again comments will be appreciated.

Quoting from "The royal Society for the prevention of accidents" document on the issue of mobile phones and road safety:

Drivers who use a mobile phone while driving, whether hand-held or hands-free:
■ are much less aware of what’s happening on the road around them
■ fail to see road signs
■ fail to maintain proper lane position and steady speed
■ are more likely to ‘tailgate’ the vehicle in front
■ react more slowly and take longer to brake
■ are more likely to enter unsafe gaps in traffic
■ feel more stressed and frustrated.

Research indicates that they are also four times more likely to crash, injuring or killing themselves and/or other people.
Using a hands-free phone while driving does not significantly reduce the risks because the problems are caused mainly by the mental distraction and divided attention of taking part in a phone conversation at the same time as driving.

Remember: Switch Off B4 U Drive Off. My own Libyan Version (catch phrase):

اطفي النقال بعدين ولّع السيارة = اطفي بعدين ولّع

or (lol): ! اطفي تسلم

I've designed this banner, please feel free to include in your websites/blogs:

Remember, drive safely......

Welcome to my blog! No, I've never in my life done any thing on the internet apart from sending emails and visiting google a thousand times a day! As mentioned in my first blog, it’s my first web publishing experience, I am literally learning as I’m going along!

Cute you should make bumper stickers then people can drive up real close to read them :) good work if only more would listen. My husband was nearly killed by a man who dropped his phone. A good start but more work will always need to be done.
