Tripoli Museum: Omar Mukhtar's eye glasses

As promised in an earlier post, I wanted to post more photo's of my visit to the Tripoli museum "Mat-haf Asaraya".

One of the exhibits was the actual eye glasses of our hero the Martyer (Shaheed) Omar Mukhtar, the picture is shown above. I had a weird sensation (of awe) when I saw the exhibit, especially when you realise that the glasses were actually worn by our national hero, a physical reminder of the great man! They also had his sword on show.
May Allah bless his soul.

Fantastic post Beacon! That picture gave me the shivers.

When I visited the Tripoli museum and saw Omar Mukhtar's glasses and other belongings. I just stood there. Frozen. Flashbacks of the movie were running in my head. Then I was imagining myself with them, fighting the Italians with a gun in my hand, shooting people left and right... then accidently shooting my foot with the gun.

Ouch. It hurt, even in my head.

Seriously though, it was so amazing seeing things that belonged to the great Libyan Hero.

There was also the belonging of the Mujahid; Suliman Al Barooni. Another Amazing Libyan Hero! And he's JBALI :D
