Fat Distribution!

I have been reading an interesting article on the problem of world wide adult obesity, and it certainly has a lot of weight! (lol...sorry, had to say that!).

According to the WHO (World Health Organization) there are currently 1.6 billion overweight adults in the world and that number is projected to grow by 40% over the next 10 years.

The list reflects the percentage of overweight adults aged 15 and over. These are people who have individual body mass indexes (BMI), which measures weight relative to height, greater than or equal to 25. Obesity is defined as having a BMI greater than or equal to 30.
And here are the world wide top 10:
1-Nauru
2-Micronesia
3-Cook Islands
4-Tonga
5-Niue
6-Samoa
7-Palau
8-Kuwait
9-United States
10-Kiribati
Hey... at least the Arab world is represented in the top ten! Thanks Kuwait!
Don't ask me about some of the countries mentioned, I've never heard of them as well! Google them, or go and open an atlas! The only country I recognised was Kuwait, where the hell is the United States!! (lol...sorry Chatalaine!...just joking).
Where is Libya?! I hear you scream! Surely we are not that far behind, or perish the thought, are we part of the top 10 skinniest people in the world?!
No, fear not, Libya is fat as well, but not that fat! lol.
Here are the 10 Fattest Arab countries (the red number is their world ranking)
1-Kuwait (Kabsah??) 8
2-Egypt (Fool, beans!)14
3-UAE (Kabsah?? maybe?) 18
4-Bahrain (Kabsah? again!) 26
5-Saudi Arabia (More Kabsah!)28
6-Qatar (kabsah!, what the hell!)36
7-Jordan (za3ter? What do Jordainians eat? Kabsah as well?) 38
8-Libya (Imbakbaka and bazin!) 78
9-Lebanon (?) 80
10-Syria (?) 82
I just want to say this is not anti-kabsah post! I've never even seen or tasted the thing!

For those who like to balance things, the top 10 least obese nations are as follows (in reverse order):
10-Burundi
9-Central African Republic
8-Cambodia
7-Republic of the Congo
6-Nepal
5-Sri Lanka
4-Vietnam
3-Bangladesh
2-Ethiopia
1-Eritrea
By the way, if you want to calculate your BMI, you can do it here. Good Luck!

Thanks AL, esp. for the correct spelling of Kabsah! Far from staying away from it, I would like to taste it someday! Do they serve it in Edgeware Rd? If they do, I wish I tried it when I was in the UK! Because I won't go all the way to Kuwait to try it out...lol.

Chatalaine, I am sure you are proud! But don't be proud that the USA is the fattest in the world, not any more, because the rest of the world is catching up! Global fattening!
Hey, a theoretical question...lol, can the world hold all this extra weight? Will we fall into space? ...lol.

I really am not sure if you can get Kabsah in Egware Road, I have only eaten it once i think and that was years ago in my Oxford days, cooked by a Kuwaiti.
there are many Iraqi restaurants all over London now, they might serve Kabsah.
